Binance has joined forces with football icon Cristiano Ronaldo by announcing an exclusive, multi-year NFT partnership with the Portuguese footballing legend to bring non-fungible tokens and web3 to global users.
According to the official announcement by the company, the agreement will see Binance and Cristiano Ronaldo create a series of NFT collections for sale exclusively on the Binance NFT platform.
Ronaldo commented on the partnership, acknowledging his relationship with his fans as very important to him and expressing his excitement over the opportunity to give them “unprecedented experiences” through the Binance NFT platform.
Changpeng Zhao (CZ) the founder and CEO of Binance also commented saying “Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the best football players in the world, and has moved from just sports to become an icon in multiple industries. He has won the admiration of his most dedicated fan base through his talent, authenticity, and charity work. We are thrilled to provide his fans with exclusive engagement opportunities to connect with Cristiano Ronaldo and own a piece of one of the most iconic sport’s history.”
This isn’t the first time such a thing is happening as his rival Lionel Messi signed a $200 million global ambassador deal with digital fan token company Socios.com. earlier this year.
